My World Has Gotten Smaller

I used to travel.

I used to go out on a Friday night without thinking about it.

I used to say yes to things.

Now I calculate every outing.

How far is it?

Will there be somewhere to sit?

How long will I need to be on my feet?

What will the noise level be like?

How will I feel the next day?

Is it worth it?

That last question is the one that changed everything.

Because when you start asking whether something is worth the cost, you start saying no more than you say yes.

And slowly, without meaning to, your world gets smaller.

The radius of what is possible shrinks.

And the people who used to be in your life drift away — not because they stopped caring, but because you stopped being able to show up in the ways that kept you connected.

I am not sure most people have noticed how small my world has become.

But I notice.

Every day.

The gradual shrinking of life that comes with chronic pain is a form of loss that accumulates slowly and is rarely acknowledged. It is not dramatic. It does not happen all at once. But over months and years, it changes everything.

Helping the nervous system find more stability does not just reduce pain. It expands what feels possible. It widens the radius of life again.

That is what BioBreathing is working toward.
