What I Wish Doctors Understood About Chronic Pain

I have been told my tests are normal.

I have been told it might be stress.

I have been told to try yoga.

I have been told to lose weight.

I have been told to keep a pain diary.

I have been told to come back in six weeks.

I have been told that sometimes these things just happen.

I have been told a lot of things.

What I have not been told, very often, is: I believe you.

That is what I wish doctors understood.

Not the mechanism.

Not the treatment protocol.

Just that.

I believe you.

Because when you live with pain that nobody can see on a scan, the most exhausting part is not the pain itself.

It is the years of trying to prove it is real.

I am not making this up.

I am not exaggerating.

I am not seeking attention.

I am a person in pain who needs someone to believe them.

Medical dismissal is one of the most damaging experiences a person with chronic pain can have. It delays treatment, erodes self-trust, and adds a layer of psychological stress on top of an already overwhelmed nervous system.

If you have been dismissed, minimized, or told your pain is not real — you deserve better. And your experience is valid.

BioBreathing cannot replace medical care. But it can offer something that is often missing: a space where you are believed, and where your body is treated with gentleness.
